SDState, Extension Close; Some to Reopen Saturday

Predicted blizzardlike conditions forced South Dakota State University to close its Brookings campus Friday. Campus will reopen Saturday and classes will resume as normal Monday.
Campus events scheduled for Saturday and Sunday will remain as scheduled. The SDSU Jazz Ensemble concert scheduled for Friday has been moved to 6 p.m. Sunday.
The closing impacts SDSU's main campus and all supporting research farms and offices in Brookings County. For example, SDSU's Office of Admissions will be closed.
SDSU Extension's Brookings campus office, regional centers, tribal extension offices and the West River Ag Center are closed. Offices will reopen on Friday as weather conditions allow.
Only employees classified as "essential" will report to work.
Students living on campus will have access to food services in Hansen Hall, Larson Commons and the University Student Union. Residence halls and dining operations will remain open. Dining services will be open during the closure from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for
students living on campus. The SDSU Wellness Center will be open Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
