Cole TAC Relocates to South Dakota from New Hampshire
South Dakota Ag Connection - 08/03/2021

A ribbon cutting was held for Cole-TAC at the company's newest location, 3350 Jet Dr., Rapid City.

The business, which recently moved to the state from New Hampshire, designs and manufactures tactical accessories, creating an effective design to allow gear to last longer, enhance performance and exceed expectations.

"I hope you know you are among friends," said Lieutenant Governor Larry Rhoden.

Lt. Gov. Rhoden noted during the ribbon cutting that both he and Governor Kristi Noem are strong supporters of the Second Amendment. He noted that in South Dakota, residents enjoy more liberties and freedoms than anyone else.

"Welcome to South Dakota. We are glad to have you," he said.

Cole-TAC owner Dustin Coleman said that Rapid City had so many things to offer his family, which is why they chose the growing community. He noted when he and wife Liene started to look at relocating and expanding, South Dakota shined above all others; they wanted to find a place that was both business and firearm friendly, and a place to raise their four kids.

"It's not just the business climate," Coleman said. "It's also the people. This is just the beginning for our family and for Cole-TAC."

GOED Commissioner Steve Westra said, "We are excited that we were able to help the Coleman's make the decision to move to South Dakota, both from a personal and professional standpoint. This is a great state and we are so happy they chose us."

Cole-TAC made the decision early this year, with help from entities including Elevate Rapid City and the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED), to make the nearly 2,000-mile move. With different programs that both Elevate and GOED offer, Cole-TAC was able to benefit from several incentive options. The business is currently hiring and hopes to add up-to 40 new employees, offering both above average pay and benefits.
