This April, SDSU Extension is inviting all interested individuals to a special training session designed for private applicators. Whether you're a seasoned professional or new to the field, this event, held on April 10, 2024, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. CST, is the perfect opportunity to learn more about responsible pesticide use.
For your convenience, the training is accessible both online and at various SDSU Extension Regional Centers across South Dakota. Locations include Aberdeen, Lemmon, Mitchell, Pierre, Rapid City, Sioux Falls, Watertown, and Winner. Each site is equipped to provide you with the best learning experience possible.
The training agenda is packed with valuable sessions covering topics from laws and regulations to specific challenges like climate, weeds, insects, and diseases.
Expert speakers such as Valerie Mitchell from the South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources and SDSU Extension specialists like Laura Edwards, Eric Jones, Adam Varenhorst, and Connie Strunk will guide you through these critical areas.
Stephen Robertson will conclude the training with a session on online recertification, ensuring you're fully prepared to apply your knowledge in the field.
Attendees seeking credit must be present for the entire duration of the training. Please arrive early to settle in and, if attending in person, remember to bring a valid government-issued photo ID and your private applicator certification card if you have one.
To join, simply register online by noon on April 10, 2024. Space for in-person attendance is limited, so early registration is advised. If you plan to attend online with a group from a single location, only one registration is necessary.
Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge in safe pesticide application!
