South Dakota Beef Industry Council Gathers for Checkoff Academy and Quarterly Board Meeting in Pierre

Directors and staff of the South Dakota Beef Industry Council (SDBIC) are set to convene in Pierre on June 28-29, 2023, for the Checkoff Academy and SDBIC Quarterly Board meeting. This informative event, hosted by the Cattlemen's Beef Board, aims to provide attendees with insights into the history and current status of national beef checkoff programs. It presents an excellent opportunity for beef producers to connect with their peers, foster networks, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the beef checkoff. All beef producers are cordially invited to participate.

The Checkoff Academy will begin on Wednesday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the Red Rossa conference centre in Pierre. The SDBIC Quarterly Board meeting will be held on Thursday, June 29, following the academy, at Drifters Conference Centre in Ft. Pierre, SD. Committee meetings will begin at 7:30 a.m. CST, followed by the entire board of directors meeting at 10:30 a.m. CST.

Please RSVP to Jodie Anderson at janderson@sdbeef.org or call the SDBIC office if you want to attend to guarantee adequate food arrangements.
