South Dakota Ranchers Host Bull Auction

South Dakota Ranchers Host Bull Auction

By Scout Nelson

The 3R Cattle Co. & Milliron Angus Bull Sale will take place on March 22, 2025, at the Winner Livestock Auction in South Dakota. This event, launched in 2024, is led by a group of young ranchers dedicated to improving commercial herds through high-quality cattle genetics.

The idea for the sale began when these cattle producers started selling bulls through private treaty. Interest grew, and in 2024, they took the next step by organizing their first official sale. The success of their inaugural event has now led to a second annual sale.

“We knew we wanted to create something lasting,” they explained. “This sale gives us a platform to provide genetics that will improve herds and help producers succeed.”

Each team member plays a vital role in the process, from photographing and promoting bulls to managing the sale ring. The group takes pride in handling everything themselves, ensuring a hands-on, personal experience for buyers.

Beyond the auction, they remain committed to customer satisfaction. “We stand behind the genetics we sell,” they said. “If something goes wrong, we will make it right.” Throughout the summer, follow-up calls help ensure that bulls perform as expected and provide valuable feedback for future sales.

With a strong foundation and growing customer base, the second annual bull sale promises quality genetics and dedication to service. The March 22 event in Winner, South Dakota, is expected to draw even more interest from producers seeking trusted, high-performing cattle.
