Youth reading achievement - free SD state fair passes

By Scout Nelson

South Dakota State Fair invites young readers to participate in the Read & Win program, offering free admission passes to the 2024 fair. In collaboration with schools and public libraries, the fair aims to promote youth reading and honor academic achievement.

The Read & Win program encourages children of all ages across the state to engage in summer reading activities. By completing reading challenges, participants can earn free entry to the South Dakota State Fair. This initiative serves as a rewarding addition to existing reading programs or as a standalone opportunity to foster a love for reading among youth.

To register for the Read & Win program and secure free youth passes to the State Fair Click Here. Registration assistance is available by contacting the State Fair office in Huron on 605-353-7340. It's important to note that registration must be completed by Monday, August 19, to be eligible for the free passes.

The Read & Win program is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Ag Performance, demonstrating a commitment to promoting education and youth development within the community.

Mark your calendars for the 2024 South Dakota State Fair, which commences on Channel Seeds Opening Day, Wednesday, August 28, and runs through Monday, September 2. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate youth reading achievements while enjoying the excitement of the State Fair!
