SOUTH DAKOTA WEATHER

51 Percent of S.D. Topsoil Adequate to Surplus



For the week ending January 1, 2023, topsoil moisture supplies rated 16% very short, 33% short, 48% adequate, and 3% surplus, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 24% very short, 38% short, 36% adequate, and 2% surplus.

Winter wheat condition rated 5% very poor, 16% poor, 63% fair, 16% good, and 0% excellent.
