SDSU Extension is set to host a crucial training session for those involved in the beef industry. The Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) training, slated for April 29 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., will take place at Landmark Hall in Eagle Butte, South Dakota.
This event is designed for anyone engaged in raising or handling cattle. BQA is a respected program that drives producers toward continuous improvement by integrating science-based production practices. These practices ensure cattle's well-being along with beef quality and safety, enhancing consumer confidence and industry standards.
Participants will have the opportunity to become BQA certified during this session, with a certification lasting three years. The training aims to connect beef and dairy farmers and ranchers with the latest research and best practices in animal care, thus improving the quality of beef produced and the profitability of herds.
No registration is required to attend this free training, making it easily accessible to all interested parties. Attendees are invited to enjoy a meal before or after the session at their own expense, as food costs are not covered by the training.
Join the effort to uphold the high standards of the beef industry by becoming BQA certified at this educational and beneficial event.
