Dakota Alternative Beef Cow Systems Symposium


SDSU Extension and NDSU Extension will host the Dakota Alternative Beef Cow Systems Symposium for cow/calf producers who seek alternatives to high pasture and forage costs. The two options to attend this event include:

February 6 - 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Huron Event Center (100 4th St SW, Huron, SD 57350)

February 7 - 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Jamestown Civic Center (212 3rd Ave NE, Jamestown, ND 58401) or virtually through Zoom

The event will provide the most up-to-date research and information on:

Feeding Strategies to Replace Forage - Warren Rusche, Assistant Professor & SDSU Extension Feedlot Management Specialist Creep-feeding Calves in Confinement Systems - Dan Shike, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
