Enhance Your Dairy Beef Skills at I-29 Moo University

The I-29 Moo University Dairy Beef Short Course will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This event is part of the Central Plains Dairy Expo and offers valuable insights for those involved in dairy beef production.

The course will feature a range of informative sessions. Topics include updates on implant strategies, vaccination management, and calf management research focused on preparing cattle for feedlots. Experts from universities like South Dakota State, Texas A&M, and Iowa State will present these sessions, providing attendees with the latest research and practices. The event will also cover important issues like the impact of dairy crossbreeds on feedlots, economics related to crossbreeds, and hoof-related lameness in feedlot cattle.

Registration for the event is $75 per adult, with an additional $15 for those wishing to receive a printed copy of the proceedings. College students can register for a discounted fee of $20. Lunch will be provided, and the deadline for preregistration is March 14, 2025.

Participants who wish to attend the Central Plains Dairy Expo Welcome Reception should register online in advance. This short course is an excellent opportunity for professionals to enhance their knowledge and connect with experts in the field of dairy beef production.
