SDSU Garden Hour returns for winter

By Scout Nelson

SDSU Extension’s Garden Hour is back for a limited series during the fall and winter months. Beginning on December 3, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. CST, this event will be held every other month, offering expert gardening advice for the off-season.

The series covers a variety of exciting topics that will help gardeners prepare for a successful 2025 growing season. The December session will focus on trees, houseplants, indoor insect pests, produce storage, and preservation techniques, offering practical tips for maintaining a thriving garden during the colder months.

"Join SDSU Extension specialists to learn more about important gardening topics throughout the off-season," says the event announcement. This series will provide answers to common garden harvest questions and offer valuable insights to help gardeners set themselves up for success.

While there is no fee to attend, participants must register in advance to receive the Zoom link and session reminders. By registering once, you will be signed up for all future sessions, making it easy to access helpful gardening knowledge throughout the winter months.

This event is perfect for gardeners of all levels who want to continue learning and improving their skills even when the growing season is paused. The Garden Hour series aims to support gardeners in their efforts to prepare for future seasons, ensuring that they are well-equipped to tackle gardening challenges and thrive in 2025.

Don’t miss out on this free, educational opportunity to enhance your gardening expertise and prepare for a successful year ahead.
