South Dakota State University (SDSU) Extension is providing an educational opportunity for cattle producers through its upcoming Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) training program. The event is scheduled for September 29, 2026, in Rapid City, South Dakota, and is designed to help producers strengthen their cattle management practices while supporting beef quality and animal welfare.
The training will begin at 3:30 p.m. MT at the West River Research and Extension Center. Registration is free and includes all training materials. The program will last approximately 2.5 hours, making it convenient for producers who want to improve their knowledge and earn certification.
The BQA program is open to anyone involved in raising, handling, or managing cattle. It focuses on science-based practices that improve cattle well-being, beef quality, and food safety.
