Registration is now open for the 2024 South Dakota Governor’s Agricultural Summit (Ag Summit). Hosted by the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR), the event will take place on June 12-13 at the State Fairgrounds in Huron, South Dakota.
This year’s Ag Summit is set to be an exciting two-day affair, with a special highlight being the DEXtravaganza ‘Grand Opening’ Concert on June 13 featuring country music superstar Thomas Rhett.
The agenda for the Ag Summit includes a range of informative sessions:
- Updates from the National Ag Law Center on Waters of the US (WOTUS) and Foreign Owned Ag at the national level.
- Trade panel discussions.
- An update on Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) from Dr. Thompson, the state veterinarian.
- Insights from the latest ag census.
- Ag economic outlook from Elaine Kub.
- Governor’s Ag Ambassador Award presentation.
