The U.S. Agriculture Department reports more South Dakota farms have internet and computer access than the national average.
Data from the National Agricultural Statistic Service (NASS) in 2021shows that 81% of farms in the state had computer access and 90% had internet access.
The national average shows that 67% of farms have access to computers. South Dakota’s average is 14% higher.
In addition, internet access to South Dakota farms has increased by 8% since a 2019 survey.
