The Stockyards Ag Experience invites families and community members to a fun and educational event—Summer at the Stockyards – Summer Carnival. The event takes place on July 11 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Sioux Falls, at the big stone barn located at the bottom of Falls Park.
Organized with support from the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council, this carnival brings together the fun of old-fashioned games with hands-on learning about agriculture. The Council is a group of farmers who volunteer to promote the use of corn in South Dakota, across the U.S., and around the world.
The carnival is a family-friendly afternoon filled with exciting games, playful activities, and great photo opportunities. Children and adults can enjoy the joyful setting while learning how agriculture connects our farms to our food plates. It is a perfect way for kids to explore where their food comes from and understand the hard work that farmers do every day.
The Stockyards Ag Experience works to connect people to agriculture through events like this. Whether you're tossing a beanbag, exploring the exhibits, or just enjoying a summer afternoon, the carnival offers something fun and meaningful for everyone.
This event is open to the public and free to attend. It is a great way to spend time with family, meet local farmers, and learn more about agriculture in a fun and easy-to-understand way.
