Brookings Public Library is hosting a series of Community Intergroup Dialogues, where small groups led by trained facilitators will meet over 5 weeks throughout September and October to communicate across differences and explore challenging topics affecting them and their community.
There will be a kick-off event on Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. at Brookings Public Library so that those who are interested in participating can learn what to expect from the program and register to be in a dialogue group. Check out the Facebook event page here: https://fb.me/e/2GmaKBHNY.
After the kick-off, groups will meet once a week during their group's scheduled time, ending with a wrap-up session on October 25. Though this program is a time commitment, it is also an important tool that allows participants to get to know one another both on a personal and group basis so that they can work towards grasping the complexities of public issues.
If this is something you would be interested in attending, please RSVP at https://forms.gle/CoYYnAF73teWEkLp8 so that we can provide enough refreshments for everyone.
