The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold its regularly scheduled session of the State Technical Committee on Aug. 17 virtually via Microsoft Teams. The link for the Microsoft Teams Meeting as well as a call-in number will be posted on the news page of the South Dakota NRCS Web site (www.sd.nrcs.usda.gov) a few days prior to the meeting. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. CST. Based on the tentative agenda, the meeting may run for approximately one to two hours.
The tentative agenda items for the August 17, 2022, meeting will include: Welcome and Introduction; Congressional and Staff Updates; Farm Service Agency Updates (Conservation Reserve Program); Soil Health Update; Conservation Collaboration Cooperative Agreements; Conservation Implementation Strategy; Program Updates (Environmental Quality Incentives Program, Regional Conservation Partnership Program, Conservation Stewardship Program, Agricultural Conservation Easement Program); South Dakota Wetland/Highly Erodible Lands (HEL) Compliance Update; Partnership Topics (If you want to share any success stories, new programs, or need feedback, please contact Kathy Irving); Reports; and other updates.
