Protect children on farms register for virtual meeting

By Jamie Martin

Keeping children safe on farms is a priority for the Childhood Agricultural Safety Network (CASN), which is hosting a virtual meeting to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The event will take place on Friday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. (Central Time).

This free meeting invites farm parents, youth organizations, underserved groups, and agribusiness leaders to join forces for child safety on farms.

CASN was established in 2000 and is facilitated by the National Children’s Center for Rural and Agricultural Safety and Health. The network connects nearly 250 individuals and organizations who share evidence-based strategies for child safety in agriculture.

Andrea Swenson, Ph.D., director of the National Children’s Center, emphasized the importance of collaboration - “If we all work together, we can do more than any of us can individually.”

Participants can join the CASN Online Community to share resources, discuss child injury incidents, and collaborate on child safety strategies. The community offers tools, expertise, and connections for tackling safety challenges.

Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a growing effort to keep children safe on farms.
