Corn planted was 86%, behind 97% last year, but near 82% for the fiveyear average. Emerged was 44%, well behind 78% last year, and behind 57% average.
Soybeans planted was 61%, well behind 91% last year, and near 64% average. Emerged was 16%, well behind 60% last year, and behind 32% average.
Winter wheat condition rated 4% very poor, 22% poor, 41% fair, 31% good, and 2% excellent. Winter wheat headed was 12%, behind 30% last year and 21% average.
Spring wheat condition rated 1% very poor, 17% poor, 29% fair, 50% good, and 3% excellent. Spring wheat planted was 97%, near 100% last year and 95% average. Emerged was 85%, behind 92% last year, and equal to average.
Oats condition rated 2% very poor, 13% poor, 48% fair, 35% good, and 2% excellent. Oats planted was 93%, behind 99% last year, and near 94% average. Emerged was 78%, behind 93% last year and 85% average.
Sorghum planted was 36%, well behind 61% last year, and near 38% average.
Sunflowers planted was 23%, behind 33% last year, and equal to average.
Pasture and range conditions rated 18% very poor, 29% poor, 35% fair, 16% good, and 2% excellent.
