Learn Cattle Health Trends This June

SDSU Extension and Nebraska Extension are co-hosting the 2025 Siouxland Feedlot Forum on June 17, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Sioux Falls-City Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

This event offers feedlot professionals across the upper Midwest a chance to engage with experts, explore industry updates, and learn about the latest in cattle health and feed technology.

Forum Agenda Highlights:

  • 11:05 a.m. – “Trends in the Cattle Feeding Industry: 1990–2024”
  • 11:45 a.m. – “Maintaining Closeout Integrity with Feed Technologies”
  • 1:05 p.m. – “Trends in Cattle Health and Implications of Days on Feed”
  • 2:45 p.m. – “Soybean Processing: A New Look at an Old Ingredient”

The event also includes a panel discussion on current industry trends and expert commentary.

Optional Pre-Forum Activities:

  • June 16 at 5:30 p.m. – Kemin-hosted reception
  • June 17 at 8:00 a.m. – Selko pre-conference: Phytogenics in Beef Industry

Registration Details:

Registration is $100 if completed by June 13. After that date, the cost rises to $125. A $500 partnership option is available and includes two paid registrations.

The forum is ideal for professionals offering services and advice to the feedlot sector. With keynotes from university experts and industry leaders, it provides an important educational experience.
