Winter wheat: Winter wheat condition ratings were as follows: 9% very poor, 19% poor, 38% fair, 32% good, and 2% excellent. Winter wheat headed progress was ahead of both the previous year and the average at 68%.
Spring wheat: Spring wheat condition ratings were 2% very poor, 4% poor, 47% fair, 44% good, and 3% excellent. Spring wheat headed progress was also ahead of the previous year and near the average at 20%.
Corn: Corn condition ratings were 1% very poor, 6% poor, 33% fair, 56% good, and 4% excellent. Corn emergence progress was well ahead of both the previous year and the five-year average at 96%.
Soybeans: Soybean condition ratings were 1% very poor, 5% poor, 33% fair, 57% good, and 4% excellent. Soybean planting progress was significantly ahead of the previous year and the average at 97%. Emergence progress was also well ahead at 84%.
Oats: Oats condition ratings were 2% very poor, 7% poor, 37% fair, 52% good, and 2% excellent. Oats headed progress was well ahead of both the previous year and the average at 40%.
Sorghum: Sorghum condition ratings were 0% very poor, 1% poor, 35% fair, 63% good, and 1% excellent. Sorghum planting progress was well ahead of both the previous year and the average at 92%. Headed progress was on par with previous years and the average at 1%.
Sunflowers: Sunflower planting progress was ahead of both the previous year and the average at 70%. Emergence progress stood at 23%.
The report also assesses pasture and range conditions, with ratings of 4% very poor, 14% poor, 51% fair, 28% good, and 3% excellent. These ratings indicate generally satisfactory conditions for livestock grazing and forage availability.
