South Dakota State Fair - Multiple Ways to Save Money

The South Dakota State Fair is a haven for savings this year! Buying daily gate admission before Aug. 30 gives you a 20% discount. Say goodbye to long waiting times, as advanced tickets allow access to swift 'scan and go' lines.

Want to buy these in advance? Head over to www.sdstatefair.com or visit the State Fair Office in Nordby Exhibit Hall.

Grandstand tickets bought before the fair's opening day automatically include gate admission! Secure yours by calling 866.605.3247, visiting the fair's website, or the grandstand ticket office.

On Aug. 31, the State Fair honors veterans and active military members with a special program at the Northwestern Energy Freedom Stage. Free gate admission is available. For 4-H youth, show their 4-H card for entry.

If you're planning a visit on Friday, Sept. 1, grab a $1 off gate admission coupon from Prostrollo Motors. But remember, it's valid for that day only.

Start your Monday, Sept. 4, on a charitable note. 'Stock the Shelves' by donating a non-perishable item at the admission gate from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and enjoy $2 off your gate admission. Also, ‘Pay It Forward Day’ offers a chance to get a sponsored pass, a gesture by businesses to support fairgoers in need.

Love the carnival? Enjoy all rides for just a dollar on Wednesday, Aug. Get the Weekly Passport to Fun pass for five days of unlimited rides for $52 and get $3 off weekday rides with coupons from Taco Johns, courtesy of Big Jim 93.3.

The fun starts from Thursday, Aug. 31, and lasts until Monday, Sept. 4. For more insights, reach out to the Fair office at 800-529-0900.
