Tour De Yankton Jobs Continues June 21

The Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) in partnership with Yankton Thrive and Riverfront Broadcasting will host its third Tour De Yankton Jobs Hiring Event on June 21, 3-5 p.m.

The Tour De Yankton Hiring Event is designed to allow job seekers the opportunity to explore a variety of career opportunities located in Yankton. Individuals are invited to stop by the participating businesses to learn about the company, apply for a position, and receive a confidential interview.

Participating business partners for the month of June include Applied Engineering, Manitou Group, Human Services Center, Perkins, Good Samaritan-Tyndall, Angelhaus, Limestone Bookkeeping, American Foods Group - Cimpl, LLC, Vishay, and Walmart.

Participating businesses can build brand awareness, find an untapped pool of qualified candidates, benefit from face-to-face interaction with potential employees, and save time and money finding qualified employees. Businesses are invited to sign up for future events by contacting the Yankton Job Service office.

As of June 2, the SDWORKS jobs database reported 940 job openings in the Yankton area.

Since the first event held in April, 36 individuals have applied for employment at 14 participating business partners.

The next event is scheduled for July 19. Events will be hosted on the third Tuesday of every month at no cost to the business or job seeker.
