Discover swine farming trends at SDSU Swine Day

The SDSU Swine Day will be held on November 12, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium - Club 71 in Brookings, South Dakota. This full-day event is designed for those interested in the latest updates in swine research and farming practices, featuring expert presentations and student poster competitions.

The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast, followed by a student poster competition. Attendees will hear a welcome address from the head of the SDSU Animal Science Department, followed by a marketing update from industry experts.

One of the event's highlights is a session on SDSU’s current swine research, presented by leading professors and specialists. Lunch will be provided at noon, offering a chance for networking and discussion.

After lunch, attendees will learn about designing environmentally sustainable swine feeding programs, presented by a leading expert in the field. Additional presentations will cover important industry topics, including data-driven insights and financial perspectives in farming.

A panel discussion and a student perspective session will follow, offering different viewpoints on farming challenges and solutions. The day will conclude with a reception, providing further opportunities for interaction.
