Excitement builds in South Dakota as the State Fair and the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR) gear up for a grand concert reveal at the DEX.
Scheduled for March 15 at 7 AM CDT, the DEXtravaganza concert promises to bring a high-profile entertainer to central South Dakota. DANR Secretary Hunter Roberts shares the enthusiasm, anticipating a festival-like atmosphere complete with food trucks and an after-party for concert-goers.
The DEX, a replacement for the Open Class Beef Complex lost to fire in 2020, is a state-of-the-art, 150,000 square-foot facility. Its open concept design, free of center beams, makes it perfect for a variety of major indoor events, from concerts to rodeos and trade shows.
This versatility is not just a win for the South Dakota State Fair and Huron but a boon for the entire state, enhancing its reputation as a destination for diverse events. The upcoming DEXtravaganza concert, alongside the success of events like the PRCA rodeo, underscores DEX's impact and its potential to host large-scale gatherings.
