SDSU Extension invites beef producers to take part in its free educational webinar series designed to enhance herd health, productivity, and overall profitability. Held on the third Thursday of each month at 2:00 p.m. CST, the sessions offer valuable information for cattle producers looking to make better management decisions.
This month’s Cattle HQ Live session features Jessica Nora Drum, Assistant Professor and SDSU Extension Beef Reproductive Physiology Specialist. Drum will focus on various pregnancy detection methods for beef cattle. She will explain how early pregnancy detection plays a key role in herd management and how it helps producers make timely decisions that support better herd performance and profitability.
Early pregnancy detection allows cattle producers to plan feeding, culling, and breeding programs more effectively. By knowing the reproductive status of their herd, producers can reduce costs and improve overall herd productivity. The webinar aims to simplify this concept for producers of all levels of experience.
The SDSU Extension beef team leads this initiative to bring practical, research-based knowledge directly to cattle producers. With new topics each month, the series covers a wide range of beef production subjects that help farmers and ranchers stay updated with the latest management practices.
