There is a chance for folks to have their voices heard when it comes to guidance for evaluating the effect of active ingredients on endangered species and critical habitats.
The Pesticide Registration Improvement Act of 2022 (PRIA 5) outlined new guidance measures for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to protect endangered species. The new guidance aims to improve the efficiency of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) analyses for active ingredients.
This means the EPA is providing new recommendations for pesticide evaluation that will more accurately assess the effects of newly registered products or product usage on endangered species and critical habitats.
The EPA wants your feedback on their draft guidance, regardless of how you feel about pesticides and their usage and/or endangered species or critical habitats.
