Farmers Invited to 2026 Ag Summit

Farmers Invited to 2026 Ag Summit

By Scout Nelson

South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden invites farmers, ranchers, and agriculture leaders to attend the 2026 Governor’s Ag Summit in Pierre on June 25 and 26. This annual event brings together the agriculture community to share ideas, learn from experts, and celebrate the importance of agriculture in the state.

“Agriculture is the backbone of South Dakota’s economy and way of life,” said Governor Larry Rhoden. “Our farmers, ranchers, and ag businesses keep us strong and drive opportunity across our state. As a lifelong West River rancher, I look forward to welcoming the ag community to Pierre for this year’s Ag Summit.”

The event features a keynote address by Grey Zabel, a rookie offensive guard for the Seattle Seahawks and a 2026 Super Bowl LX champion. Zabel is a native of Pierre and plans to share his personal journey. He will explain how growing up in South Dakota and working on his family farm has helped build strong values and work habits that support his success. He will also speak about his plans to continue his family’s farming tradition in the future.

The Ag Summit includes a full day of presentations on June 25. These sessions focus on key topics that support the agriculture industry. On June 26, participants can join industry tours to learn more about local farming and agricultural practices.

The event is free and open to the public, but participants must register in advance. It offers a valuable chance for people in agriculture to connect, gain knowledge, and explore new opportunities.
