Shaun Guthmiller joins meristem as south Dakota sales representative

By Scout Nelson

Meristem Crop Performance, a rapidly growing crop input supplier in America, has recently strengthened its team by welcoming Shaun Guthmiller as their new sales representative for South Dakota. Guthmiller's appointment marks a significant addition to Meristem's mission of enhancing farmer productivity and profitability.

Guthmiller's passion for agriculture began in his youth while working on his grandfather's farm in northern Nebraska. His early experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong dedication to agriculture. After graduating from Yankton High School, Guthmiller pursued higher education at South Dakota State University (SDSU), earning a degree in agronomy and crop science.

His career path led him through various roles in the crop input business, including time at a large cooperative in northwest Iowa and Aurora Cooperative. Before joining Meristem, Guthmiller enhanced his expertise at Concept Agritech, focusing on biologicals and fluid fertilizer.

Guthmiller is excited about Meristem's innovative product portfolio, especially their season-long plant nutrition solutions. He's impressed by BioCapsule™ Technology's effectiveness in maintaining biological input vitality, and his firsthand experience with Revline® Hopper Throttle™ reinforces his confidence in their effectiveness.

Residing in Yankton with his family, Guthmiller continues to farm part of his grandfather's original land in Nebraska. This personal connection to farming enriches his understanding and empathy towards the challenges and triumphs faced by fellow farmers. His commitment to agriculture is not just professional but deeply personal, driven by the satisfaction of seeing crops grow from planting to harvest.
