Exciting Days Ahead at the 2023 SD State Fair


Experience an unforgettable 2023 South Dakota State Fair with unique promotional days, sponsored by generous day sponsors, featuring activities and giveaways for attendees.

The fun starts on August 30 with the Channel Seeds Preview Day, giving everyone a free sneak peek of the fair. The carnival rides open at 5 p.m., with each ride at just $1. And the grandstand will come alive with the Red Wilk Construction Tuff Hedeman Bull Bash at 8 p.m.

On August 31, dive into Value Added Ag Day. It's a day dedicated to the wonders of value-added agriculture in South Dakota. You can learn more at the Day Sponsor Tent and even join an ice cream social!

Prostrollo Motors takes center stage on September 1. If you’re near Easy Highway 14 in Huron, don't forget to grab a special coupon for a discount at the State Fair gate. You'll also find exciting vehicle displays and special door prize drawings. There's also a heartwarming 'Wear R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed)' activity to show support for our troops.

South Dakota Farmers Union hosts its day on September 2. This day is all about celebrating family farmers and ranchers from across the state. Among the highlights is the Farmer’s Share Luncheon showcasing the farmer's contribution to food prices. Also, engaging panel discussions and a Farm Safety Quiz Bowl Championship await attendees.

Department of Public Safety (DPS) takes over on September 3. It's all about safety, with giveaways and activities, including Highway Patrol dog demonstrations and disaster preparedness chats by Tommy the Turtle.

September 4 wraps up the fair with a flurry of activities. A chance to help 'stock the shelves' for a food drive, catch the thrilling ATV Big Air Tour, and a surprise gift – free passes for some lucky attendees!
