Spanning a vast 42. 3 million acres, the land dedicated to farms and ranches in South Dakota also saw no change from 2022, underlining the sector's steadiness.
The average farm size remained fixed at 1,495 acres, showcasing a year without significant expansion or contraction in agricultural operations.
This consistency is significant for South Dakota's agriculture, indicating a resilient sector amidst various challenges.
