Aerial applicator training and convention 2024

Aerial applicator training and convention 2024

By Scout Nelson

The South Dakota State University (SDSU) Extension is excited to announce an essential training session for aerial commercial applicators. This event is scheduled for February 7, 2024, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and is a part of the Tri-State Aerial Applicators Convention.

The venue for this significant learning opportunity is the Badlands Conference Room at The Park Event Center, located at 500 Division St, Waite Park, MN 56387.

This training is crucial for those seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge in aerial application techniques and regulatory compliance. The session will kick off with an insightful "South Dakota Ag Regulatory Update" presented by Katie Henglefelt from the South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR).

Following this, Stephen Robertson, a Pesticide Education Field Specialist with SDSU Extension, will lead a session on "Right-of-Way Vegetation Management," providing valuable strategies and insights.

Attendees are reminded to bring a government-issued photo ID along with their commercial pesticide applicator license for check-in. To complete recertification, participation in the General G session is mandatory.

For those interested in attending, online registration is available and must be completed by February 7, 2024. It's an excellent opportunity for professionals in the field to network, learn from experts, and stay updated on the latest in aerial application practices and regulations.
