Board of Economic Development Gives Money to Proposals



The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) Board of Economic Development approved four applications at its monthly meeting.

The following action was taken:

  • Whirlwind Investments, LLC, was approved for a loan of $144,000 through the SD Works program. The funding will assist with the purchase of business assets in Chester.
  • B&B Hills, LLC, was approved for a loan of $128,000 through the SD Works program. The funding will assist the purchase of business assets in Rapid City.
  • Norway Pork OP, LLC in Turner County was approved for a grant of $751,241 through the Reinvestment Payment Program (RPP). The funding will assist with the construction of a sow facility.
  • Redstone Dairy (Riverview LLP) in Kingsbury County was approved for a grant of $4,400,000 through the Reinvestment Payment Program (RPP). The funding will assist with construction of a new dairy facility.
