By Scout Nelson

The 38th annual corn conference organized by South Dakota Corn is set to take place at the Sioux Falls Convention Center on January 20. This prestigious event gathers agricultural professionals and enthusiasts for a day dedicated to the advancement and discussion of corn-related topics.

The conference is highlighted by its educational sessions during the day, where industry professionals will delve into crucial subjects like weather forecasting, the ethanol outlook, and agricultural marketing strategies.

Notable speakers gracing the event include Eric Snodgrass, Kenneth Scott Zuckerberg, and Tommy Grisafi, each bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.

As the sun sets, the conference transitions to an evening of captivating insights from keynote speaker Rob Sharkey. Known for his influential agriculture podcast and radio show, Sharkey, an Illinois farmer, brings a national perspective to the conference.

An exciting feature of the event is the announcement of the Corn Yield Contest winners by the South Dakota Corn Growers Association. This segment celebrates the hard work and innovation in corn farming. The conference concludes with its traditional silent auction, a much-anticipated event each year.

This conference not only serves as a platform for learning and networking but also reinforces the importance of the corn industry in agriculture. It's a chance for professionals and enthusiasts to engage with the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in corn farming.
