The South Dakota Farm Bureau (SDFB) is set to make a significant presence at the Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo (BHSS), scheduled from January 26 to February 3, 2024, at The Monument and Central States Fairgrounds in Rapid City.
Visitors can find SDFB at booth 18 in LaCroix Hall at The Monument. The booth will offer valuable information on policy priorities and details on the benefits of becoming a member, including access to South Dakota Farm Bureau Health Plans.
A highlight of the SDFB's participation includes a $500 grocery giveaway. Attendees can register for this giveaway by scanning a QR code at the SDFB booth. The event promises a range of attractions, including livestock shows, professional rodeos, and a trade show, attracting nearly 300,000 visitors.
SDFB is organizing a raffle for a rifle during the 10-day event, with the proceeds supporting the SDFB Foundation for Agriculture. The raffle drawing is scheduled for the SDFB Annual Convention in Rapid City in November 2024.
A special feature of the BHSS is the Rancher Appreciation Social on January 29, sponsored by county Farm Bureaus in Pennington/Jackson and Butte/Harding/Lawrence. Tickets for this event are available at the SDFB booth during the show.
