South Dakota State University (SDSU) Extension introduces Whitney Sams as the new Moody County 4-H Program Assistant. Sams will oversee 4-H programs and activities in Moody County, fostering positive youth development. Her office is located in Flandreau.
“I am excited to learn, understand, and carry out the 4-H motto while learning how to better serve communities and families,” expressed Sams.
Hilary Risner, SDSU Extension Program Manager and Regional Youth Educator, praised Sams' experience and passion for community service. “We are excited to have Whitney joining our team of 4-H professionals," said Risner. Sams previous roles have prepared her well for this position, aligning with SDSU Extension's mission to serve Moody County’s 4-H programs.
4-H, America’s largest youth development organization, offers hands-on programs in agriculture, science, health, and leadership, engaging nearly 6 million members nationwide.
Sams' appointment signifies a commitment to enriching Moody County's youth programs, reflecting SDSU Extension's dedication to empowering local communities.
